My Story
My name is Maria Paola Rodriguez, I’m 30 y/o and I’m from a city called Barquisimeto in Venezuela.
Barquisimeto is considered the musical capital of Venezuela, due to the love that the inhabitants have for music, therefore I grew up surrounded by musicians.
I started singing at my school’s choir when I was little and then I once I got in my pre-teen years I quickly fell in love with rock when I listened to Bohemian Rhapsody for the first time! So my mom signed me up for singing and guitar lessons. I now sing and play the guitar and the ukulele.
Throughout my life I’ve always been part of the choir in my highschool and then my university, and also had a couple of different bands back in my hometown, one with my best friends which was a rock band and another one which was a top charts cover band.
My favorite bands/artists and inspirations have always been: Nirvana, Evanescence, System of a Down, Metallica, Muse, Radiohead, Queen, Paramore, Avenged Sevenfold, A Day to Remember (to name a few).
Now I’m thankful and happy to start this journey with Liquid Spiral and look forward to make new stuff together. Let’s keep rocking!
