My Story

Angello was born in Lima, Peru. At an early age, he was not very interested in playing any instrument but instead he spent his early years drawing, playing video games and soccer.

Angello grew up listening to music most of the time involuntarily. His father would play music very loud every morning while getting ready to work. Angello would wake up to bands such as Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Supertramp and more.

At nights, while Angello was going to sleep his older brother Santiago would play 80’s rock and metal. Angello would go to sleep listening to bands like Ozzy Osbourne, Rata Blanca, Bon Jovi, Poison, Iron Maiden and more.

All these bands would later become some of his biggest music influences as well as favorite bands.

At thirteen, his older brother Santiago taught him how to play his first chords and songs. After a few lessons and lots of practice, Angello would then form his first band with classmates playing mostly Blink 182, Green Day and The Ataris covers. Two years later, Santiago gifted Angello his first Electric guitar. At that moment Angello started to take his music journey very seriously. He would start taking private lessons and register to study music at the Academia de Music Yamaha.

Due to his perseverance and hard work Angello started to do local gigs. While he was still in high school he snuck into pubs to play with college bands.

In 2008, Angello moved to the U.S. and became a guitarist of his brother’s local band. This helped him begin to play all over downtown Orlando and local music festivals. Looking to deepen his musical talent, he decided to obtain his degree in Music Performance specializing in Jazz guitar at Valencia College. It was there Angello met Julian Vasquez and together they formed Liquid Spiral.

After graduating from college, Angello would become a well-established musician, gigging at Disney World, Sea World and Universal Studios.

Angello has shared the stage with world class acts such as Enanitos Verdes, Culture Profetica, Los Amigos Invisible, Caramelos de Cianuro, Journey singer Jeff Scott Soto, Mushroom Head and more.

Currently, Angello continues his music journey playing with Liquid Spiral, in which he fully expresses all of his musical influences as well as exploring new music genres and styles.
